When it comes to the corporate world, professional always look for a classy option, which can fit to their portability needs as well. This is where one of the recent arrivals from the house of Lenovo, the 12” ultra portable notebook, ThinkPad X201, is perfect.

Following the success of the X200 Series, the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 has the latest Calpella Platform from Intel embedded in it. The i7 640 LM, dual Core processor from Intel is more than enough for professional requirements. The presence of 4MB Cache together with the new platform allows the processor to clock as high as 2.13 GHz. Again, the performance gets an adequate boost with the presence of 4 GB DDR3 RAM, which is split in a slot of 2GB each. Again, the presence of 320 GB of memory gives you the required real estate to store as much applications, which you would require. Again, media files, HD images and documents, all can be stored in plenty in this warehouse. The configuration of the system is also sufficient to run the 64-bit Windows 7 Professional, which makes working fun and easy.

More than its interior, what has actually impressed a lot of users is the 12.1-in LED panel of Lenovo ThinkPad X201. Presence of wide angels gives you better viewing. Again, the presence of Integrated Graphics from Intel allows you to have better display, which is adequate for a number of games. Even the weight of the overall device is low at 3.95 lbs, perfect for people, who are mobile and need a lightweight laptop for themselves.

However, the only concern with Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is its 8-cell 66Wh battery. Some experts believe that it may not last long, if the system will have to go under intense pressure.
At just over USD 1,700, the price seems to be too high when you compare the options that you can have at the same range, but Lenovo ThinkPad X201 still is worth the price.
